Mordhau takes place in a fictional psuedo-medieval setting, with influences from Europe in the medieval and renaissance periods.

Factions

The two factions of the game are warring mercenary forces, seemingly hired by Nobles of unspecified kingdoms.

Adorned with the Red and Black, their Emblem is a Hogs head over crossed Axes.

Adorned with the Blue and White, their Emblem is an Eagle with wings spread clutching a Sword in it's Talons.

There are a number of characters within the game that are consistent personalities within the world.
