The Polehammer is a long, two-handed polearm, with the ability to kill an enemy in two strikes. Its Alt Mode allows it to deal heavy damage to heads and light armour. The hammer side of the Polehammer cannot repair (unlike the blunt side of the Poleaxe).
Overview[ | ]
Normal Mode: Deals heavy damage across the board. In this Mode, the Polehammer can kill anyone that does not have the tank perk in a maximum of two swings. It will deal lethal damage against Tier 0 and Tier 1 Head armour in this mode.
Alt Mode: Swaps the grip on the shaft. In the Alt Mode, the damage against heads and light armour increases, making it able to kill enemies with T2 headgear and players with T0 chest with one strike. Swapping to this mode decreases overall effectiveness against T2/T3 armour, and does not grant any benefits regarding reach or stab damage.
Strengths[ | ]
Long Range and Great Damage across the board, with a few 1HTKs mixed in for extra flavour.
Weaknesses[ | ]
It has the highest windup in the game and a very limited turncap, it also has the highest speed debuff, meaning that this weapon will make you run slower than any other. Its stabs are kinda weird, too.
Skins / Components[ | ]
The Polehammer has different skins for head (9), shaft (5) and spike (3). The head skins are mostly variations of each other. The colour of the wooden shaft is adjustable, so is the tint of some of the highlights on the head/spike. For some shafts, a piece of cloth or leather is wrapped around the shaft, which can be coloured aswell.
Whilst wide in variety, most skins don't look too different from each other, and unfortunately, there doesn't exist a highly priced, glamourous skin for it. Also, the colour of the metal itself can't be adjusted.

Historical References[ | ]
The Polehammers skins seem to be derived from the Bec de corbin (Crow's beak) and the Lucerne hammer.
